A BIG SURF ROAD THANK YOU!

A few years ago having an interior design company was a dream. One year ago I began making it happen. One year ago…….ITS BEEN ONE YEAR!!

One year, 5 completed projects with another 9 in the works, many incredible connections and experiences, and so so much excitement for the future. THANK YOU for supporting Surf Road and following along on my journey.

Any of you who have been following my journey for a while know that it was definitely not a straight path. I have been a lot of things, including a lawyer, a web designer, a CBD founder and a lot of other random things in between! I have also been a mother for the last 8 years, my most difficult and rewarding job yet. To be an independent designer that started her company from the ground up with raising two children is a feat for sure, one that I feel very proud of.

Of course it hasn't been without sacrifice. I was, more or less, a stay at home mom for the first 4 years of motherhood. I will never forget when I started Good Jane and working more full time, sitting at the dinner table with Lennon. I told her she'd be having a babysitter for me to work and she looked at me and said "how much longer are you going to do this?" It broke my heart to tell her that I hoped it would be forever. The truth is I never wanted to be a stay at home mom, I have always loved working. That hasn't changed, but finding the right balance between full time entrepreneur and mother has been the greatest challenge of my life. Today though, 4 years removed from that dinner conversation, I know my kids will be proud of all that I've done with my career, and I think everyone can tell that I have finally landed where I was always meant to be.

The community is a huge part of Surf Road’s growth over the past year. Over 3,000 followers on Instagram and so much support! Your presence has been incredible and I’m forever grateful! I have so much planned for this business, we are really only just getting started! Keep following along to see how it all unfolds!

xoxo,

Liz
