surf road reveal: light and airy children's bathroom

People always say they don't like painting, but I love it. I love how instantly gratifying it is, and it is the single biggest and least expensive thing you can do to transform the look and feel of a room. Taylor and her family wanted an updated look for their kid's bathroom and it really did look dated before! While we considered a lot of options, ultimately all we needed was new fixtures, a can of paint and some gorgeous wallpaper!

Who would have thought this blue and white checked floor tile could actually be so cute?! The upper cabinets were in gorgeous condition and I loved the glass on them. It's no surprise that they got scooped up on the Buy Nothing Cape Elizabeth page within seconds (more on that in a later post!). Beautiful as they are, they just didn't work with the vision for this room.

Taylor's Bathroom Reveal

And, ta da! How freaking cute is this bathroom? The whole remodel was less than $5000 and it has a completely new look and feel. I can't decide what my favorite part is, it's all so good. The wallpaper is definitely show stopping, and works perfectly in a kids bathroom. The wood and brass accents give it a natural, but sophisticated feel. It's almost enough to make you forget about the meh grey countertop!
