DECORATIVE walls, all the POSSIBILITIES!

Moulding is making a come back and we are here for it at Surf Road.

With so many options why wouldn't you add some moulding to your walls to make them pop?

Board & Batten, as well as box moulding have been utilized for Surf Road Projects and we want to show you just how many variations of decorative walls you can have!

In this mudroom makeover, Liz chose Board & Batten to really add depth to the room. You can see how the clean lines of the furniture stand out against this simple and elegant wall detail.

For the above living room project the space was small to begin with and having a large TV mountain on the way tends to limit the options for wall hangings. Making it the perfect time to add a custom box moulding wall. The final project makes the TV placement feel frames, intentional.

While Box Moulding and Board & Batten are rather simple ways of elevating a space you don't have to stop there. Double Box, as well as Double Board & Batten mouldings exist and even funkier options of moulding are popping all of the time. The point is a wall does not have to be just as a wall. It can be a focal point and a piece of art in itself. Below are a few examples of decorative moulding that we love and hope to work into our projects in the future!

This Box Moulding is so great based on how the structure is used to create a perfect print placement. It feels elegant but not pretentious.

For this double box Moulding what really stands out is the placement of lights and how they draw the eye into the long lines of the rich gray walls .

Why not go a step further and add dimension via new line patterns!

Truly, TRULY in love with the use of multiple colors on top of moulding. Be it paint or adding wallpaper into the mix the combo of moulding and color variation is sure to linger in the minds of anyone who sees it!
