DIY With Me: Valentine's Day Crafts
Valentine Boxes for the Classroom
Don't you just love it when your kid's teacher sends a somewhat casual email asking you to do some elaborate craft at home for your child to bring into their classroom? Ugh. Cute in theory, but in practice 9 times out of 10 I have to find the craft inspo, gather the materials, and do 90% of the project myself.
This Valentine's Day is no different, since both of my kiddos have to not only bring in Valentines for the class, but also make homemade mailboxes to collect them in. They both rushed in the other night asking me what I had come up with for their crafts, and of course, I had spent an hour on Pinterest earlier in the day thinking about it.

For Lennon
Finding something for Lennon that was colorful and cute without being a unicorn (she's "soooo over unicorns"), was no easy task, but this camera option with the holographic heart and cute pom-poms I found on the Think Make Share blog is perfect!
Cardboard box and scraps (for the accents)
bottle cap
Ribbon (or other strap, I might try to use a gold chain strap from one of L's purses)
Scissors
Glue
Head over to Think Make Share for the full tutorial, and again, check back on Insta tomorrow as Lennon and I try to recreate this cute craft.
