How to Organize Your Vanity When You're a Product Junkie!

Anyone who is zooming in on the weekly outfit posts I post to Instagram with my vanity in the background would know what a complete MESS it is - or should I say, was! Tired of not being able to find things, and piles of bags and products cluttering up my countertop, I decided to organize my vanity over the weekend. This resulted in throwing away a bunch of stuff (goodbye samples I never used and empty serum containers!) and finding some stuff I thought had disappeared!

Vanity, Before

I ordered a bunch of pretty vanity organizers on Amazon a couple of weeks ago, and got to work Saturday morning. The whole thing took me less than an hour, and left me feeling super proud of my new getting ready station (not to mention kicking myself for not just tackling this project sooner!

I started by taking everything off and out of my vanity and separating it into categories: Supplements, Skincare, Makeup, Beauty Tools, etc. Then I had to decide which ones I used the most, and therefore would keep on the countertop, and which ones could go into the drawer. This is probably a work in progress as I figure out that I need my scissors or beauty blenders more readily available, for example, but I am really pleased with the result and highly recommend this quick and relatively inexpensive project if your vanity looks anything like mine did before.
