Surf Road Reveal: Saddleback A-Frame

In case you missed our Instagram post earlier this week, we've come to the end of an era here at Surf Road. Many of you will know that we spent the better part of 2022 working with Saddleback Mountain to design their staff house as well as 11 A-Frame mountain homes. We recently wrapped the project, finishing the last of the A-Frames, just in time for ski season! I am so excited to show you my favorite A-Frame, and can't wait to hear what you think!

The vision was to create a chalet-vibe reminiscent of mountain homes out west, while keeping in mind the more laid back nature of Maine and especially Saddleback Mountain and the Rangeley area. The family has 4 adult children, all planning to cram into the 1500 square foot A-Frame at various times throughout the year. Maximizing every square inch in addition to making the home feel cozy and warm was our top priority. We are just thrilled with the results, and are so excited for this family to enjoy their first Saddleback winter in their new home.
