a walk through of our client mood board process

Mood boards. The ageless tool for pulling together all of those floating thoughts in your brain. I can remember cutting out images from magazines and covering pages on my notebook with inspirational collages and the joy that brought me....now so many years late I still get a spark of joy from putting together (much more aesthetically pleasing) mood boards for clients! When we start the process of working with a client at Surf Road we ask them to send us a few images they've collected to get an idea of the look they are going for in their space. Moodboardng has[...]

Trend Alert: Dramatic Marble + What you need to know about edge types

Love the look of an all white kitchen but afraid of being bored or boring? Our clients are choosing to skip the snooze-fest with the latest trend in countertops and backsplashes: dramatic stone! Although the title of this post is "marble", we are really seeing this across all types of stone, including quartz, quartzite, granite and more! Travel inspiration – Meg Goes Down To Boston

design inspiration, boston, surf road travels

Hi everyone - this is Meg, Liz's design assistant. I absolutely love working for Liz / Surf Road and being able to not only practice creative expression in work constantly but also have a flexible schedule which allows for travel. I love traveling for so so many reasons but one that resides pretty close to the top is for creative inspiration. Most of the time while I'm traveling you will see me with my phone or a camera documenting literally everything - it's honestly pretty annoying. I'll then sort through them and filter them by how they inspire me. It makes[...]

a-frame design, saddleback mountain house, interior design, rendering

You can check out that blog post here, but the gist of it is, we have connections, discount, and time to devote and dedicate to your project. Recently, however, as we completed the procurement phase on one of our latest projects, we were completely struck by just how true this sentiment is.  /*! elementor - v3.10.2 - 29-01-2023 */ .elementor-widget-image{text-align:center}.elementor-widget-image[...]
