surf road reveal: lennon's bright and cheerful big girl room

Some of you might remember back not that long ago when we had the rug that now resides in Lennon's room in our own primary bedroom. The hot pink was super fun for a while, but as our room has become more and more of a sanctuary, I wanted it to have a slightly more calming vibe (check out our updated bedroom reveal here!). Lennon was only too happy to swap with us, and this rug really does go perfectly with her bright and cheerful, rainbow and unicorn and princess bunnies galore bedroom!

Lennon is a MAJOR collector of things, as you can see from her bedside table. This shelf is home to 5 or more jars of sea shells, sea glass and marbles she has found at our neighborhood beach. As much as I try to keep her room clean and organized, and give her the tools to do it herself too (hello, lots of storage baskets!), I honestly can't find enough space for her to stash it all away!

I try to remind myself that these years are short, and maybe some day I'll miss her little jars of junk everywhere! I do know we probably only have a few more years before she wants to transition this room again. Gone will be her unicorns and rainbows. We'll paint over her princess bunnies. So, for as long as I can, I"m holding on to this bright and cheerful room, and think it is the perfect place for my spunky girl to make her magic.
