Get Good Linens

I don't care what anyone says, you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to get good bedding. I recently picked up these jersey sheet sets from Target for our bed at home, and I absolutely love them. They are soft, cozy and not too hot. They even come in at least 7 different colors to match the rest of your guest bedroom decor.

Speaking of good bedding, I also recommend a nice throw blanket, the same size as the bed, in case your guest runs cold, especially on a trip North to see family ;)

Make sure you have plenty of clean, not at all ratty towels for your guests to use. They definitely don't need to be fancy, but they should be free from makeup stains, rips and funky smells.

Give 'em the Amenities

Sure, it's not a hotel, but it should feel pretty much the same.

Starting with lighting: The last thing your guests want to do on a chilly Maine night is get up out of the cozy bed you just prepared and turn off the light.

Next, make sure you have at least one table lamp beside the bed, AND a charging station for phones, watch, airpods.

And finally, stock up on all the toiletries they could possibly need, and leave 'em in a cute little basket on the bed or in the guest bath.

Want to really go above and beyond? Leave them some cozy slippers and a bath robe.

Make it Cute

And finally, the most fun part, make it cute! Why not lean in to the holiday spirit and transform your guest room into a winter wonderland?! I gathered some inspo and linked a bunch of stuff in stock at the local Maine Target. Oh what fun!
