Save this for when you remodel your kitchen

Remodeling your kitchen or thinking about it in the near future? You’re not alone! Current real estate trends have made it so many people are choosing to stay put, rather than find a new home. Staying put often means putting some love and money into your current digs, and one of the smartest ways to do this is with a kitchen (and bathroom!) remodel. This is where you are going to see the biggest return on your investment.

With that in mind, I thought I would let you in on my top 3 tips to consider when designing a new kitchen.

  1. Consider organizing and space saving: Plan out what will go in each drawer, and where that logically makes the most sense in your kitchen. For instance, plates/cups/silverware should all go next to the dishwasher. Consider specialty inserts for pot lids, tall spoons/spatulas, platters, and more.

  2. Go for timeless, not trendy. Although you may think a white kitchen is boring, it is most definitely not going to go out of style any time soon. I’m not saying you have to have a white kitchen, but before you consider burgundy cabinets, make sure you really love the look, and you’re not just trying to be on trend.

  3. Consider 30” deep countertops. This little bit of extra space makes all the difference when putting appliance and other things on the counters, and I recommend this tip to all of my clients!
