Creative gift wrapping - the gift of a well wrapped present

The gift below the paper might be the most important part, but that doesn't mean the packaging doesn't make a difference.

When I was younger I would watch the gift wrappers at department stores in awe as they turned small boxes into elaborate pieces of art. At the time I thought "that could be me one day" Now I still appreciate the art of wrapping a gift beautifully - just not as a career!

There are so many ways to really dress up a package; here are just a few of my favorites. Working with mismatched papers that can exist cohesively, going all out with your ribbon, and adding in ornamental pieces to your gift wrap all elevate a gift making it the present everybody wants to open first.

For these gifts I bought my paper at Target, my ribbons at Target & Joann Fabric and I used a mix of old tree ornaments and purchased trinkets. adding in elements of nature such as sprigs of pine or winter berries is always a nice touch for a wrapped gift as well!
